This Privacy Policy describes how LiftAI ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the LiftAI mobile application (the "Service").

Words with capitalized initial letters have meanings defined under the following conditions. These definitions apply regardless of whether they appear in singular or plural.

Personal Data

When using LiftAI, we may collect certain personal information, including but not limited to:

We do not collect unnecessary personal information.

Usage Data

Usage Data is collected automatically and may include:

  • Device type

This data is used solely to improve app stability, performance, and user experience.

Health and Exercise Data

LiftAI processes and stores fitness-related information such as:

  • Workouts and exercise history
  • Training routines and preferences
  • Weight measurements
  • Calorie and nutrition data
  • Meal logs and food scans

This data is stored securely on our servers (hosted by Supabase) to enable synchronization across your devices and to provide you with access to your data from any device.

We do not sell or share health data with third parties for marketing purposes.

You may delete your fitness data at any time from within the app or by contacting us.

Food Image Processing

When you use the food scanning feature, you may upload photos of food items. These images are processed by OpenAI's Vision API to analyze nutritional content.

  • Images are sent securely to OpenAI for analysis
  • Images are not stored by OpenAI after processing
  • You can choose not to use the food scanning feature if you prefer not to share images

We use this service solely to provide you with accurate nutritional information. OpenAI processes images in accordance with their privacy policy.

Third-Party Services

LiftAI uses the following third-party services to provide functionality:

Supabase

We use Supabase for:

  • User authentication and account management
  • Database storage of your fitness data
  • Secure data synchronization across devices

Supabase is GDPR compliant and stores data in secure data centers. For more information, see Supabase's privacy policy.

OpenAI

We use OpenAI's Vision API for:

  • Food image analysis and nutritional information extraction

OpenAI processes images temporarily and does not store them. For more information, see OpenAI's privacy policy.

RevenueCat

We use RevenueCat for:

  • Managing in-app subscriptions
  • Processing subscription status

RevenueCat may collect device identifiers and subscription information. For more information, see RevenueCat's privacy policy.

Resend

We use Resend for:

  • Sending transactional emails (account verification, password reset, etc.)

Resend processes email addresses and email content. For more information, see Resend's privacy policy.

Use of Your Personal Data

We may use your data to:

  • Provide and maintain the Service
  • Manage your account
  • Improve app functionality and user experience
  • Communicate important updates or service-related notifications
  • Detect and prevent technical issues

We do not use your data for advertising tracking purposes.

Subscriptions and Payments

LiftAI uses Apple's In-App Purchase system for subscriptions, managed through RevenueCat.

We do not store or process your payment information. All transactions are handled directly by Apple in accordance with their privacy and security policies.

RevenueCat processes subscription data to manage your premium status. This information is necessary to provide subscription features.

Retention of Your Personal Data

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the Service and fulfill legal obligations.

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time through the app or by contacting us. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.

Transfer of Your Personal Data

Your information may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence, including:

  • Supabase servers (location depends on your project region)
  • OpenAI servers (United States)
  • RevenueCat servers (United States)

By using the Service, you consent to such transfers in accordance with this Privacy Policy. We take reasonable measures to ensure your data is protected at all times, including through standard contractual clauses and other appropriate safeguards.
